
One person has been charged following a traffic stop in Leamington.
On February 5, 2026, at approximately 2:34 a.m., members of the OPP conducted a vehicle stop on Talbot Street West near Erie Street in the Municipality of Leamington.
A 28-year-old male resident of Leamington was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Windsor on March 18, 2026, to answer to the charges.
