
At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, February 24, 2026 Council:
- Approved an application for 1309 Mersea Road 5 to rezone a severed lot to permit an off-site farm-worker dwelling and to rezone the retained lands to prevent new residential development except a farm-worker dwelling.
- Deferred an application for 107 Robson Road to deem lots no longer be lots on a registered plan of subdivision and to rezone lands to facilitate the development of a 14-storey, 60-unit, condominium building until proper Notice has been given to the residents in the area.
- Approved the 2024 audited consolidated financial statements for the Corporation of the Municipality of Leamington.
- Approved transfers of the 2024 municipal taxation-funded surplus funds of $8,362,401 to various reserves.
- Authorized an agreement with Konnectsys in the amount of $80,066.65 plus HST to provide software upgrades, commissioning and project close out services for the Building Automation System at the Municipal Building.
- Amended the Sewer Connection and Sewer Use By-laws to include clauses regarding septic or holding tanks.
- Awarded the Desktop Hardware Refresh Project to Applied Computer Solutions Inc. in the amount not to exceed $250,000 plus HST and authorized Administration to dispose of existing surplus computer equipment through donation to local schools, not-for-profit agencies and charities as well as sale to staff.
- Awarded the Server Infrastructure Refresh Project to Attache Group Inc. in the amount of $191,160 plus HST.
- Awarded the purchase of the Traffic Message Boards to Archer Traffic Control in the amount of $184,360 plus HST.
- Awarded the purchase of the APS Software Solution to Gtechna, a division of ACCEO Solutions Inc. in an amount not to exceed $80,000 plus HST.
- Authorized Administration to enter into an agreement with the Leamington Flyers organization on or before June 15, 2026, for the use of the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre for a three-year term.
- Authorized Administration to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Windsor to access and purchase firefighting foam.
- Awarded the purchase of four 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 to Finch Auto Group in the amount of $213,284 plus HST and the purchase of two 2026 Ford F250 to Woodstock Ford in the amount of $120,098 plus HST.
- Appointed Mayor MacDonald and Councillor Tiessen to the Municipal Grants Review Committee for a one-year term.
