Leamington Council Considers – February 24, 2026

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Council will:

  • Hold a Public Meeting under the Planning Act to consider:
    • An application for 1309 Mersea Road 5 to rezone a severed lot to permit an off-site farm-worker dwelling and to rezone the retained lands to prevent new residential development except a farm-worker dwelling.
    • An application for 107 Robson Road to deem lots within a registered plan to no longer be lots on a registered plan of subdivision and to rezone lands from a Residential (R5-3 and R1) Zone to a Residential R6-5(h) Zone to facilitate the development of a 14 storey, 60-unit, condominium building.
  • Consider the 2024 draft audited consolidated financial statements for the Corporation of the Municipality of Leamington.
  • Consider a report recommending financial transfers of 2024 funds.
  • Consider authorizing an agreement with Konnectsys to provide software upgrades, commissioning and project close out services for the Building Automation System at the Municipal Building in the amount of $80,066.65 plus HST.
  • Consider amending the Sewer Connection and Sewer Use By-laws to introduce new clauses regarding septic or holding tanks.
  • Consider awarding the purchase of the Desktop Hardware Refresh Project to Applied Computer Solutions Inc. in an amount not to exceed $250,000 plus HST and authorizing Administration to dispose of the existing surplus computer equipment through donations to local schools, not-for-profits agencies and charities and sale to staff.
  • Consider awarding the purchase of the Server Infrastructure Refresh Project to Attache Group Inc. in the amount of $191,160 plus HST.
  • Consider awarding the purchase of the Traffic Message Boards to Archer Traffic Control in the amount of $184,360 plus HST.
  • Consider awarding the purchase of the Administrative Penalty System Software Solution to GTechna, ACCEO Solutions Inc. in an amount not to exceed $80,000 plus HST.
  • Consider authorizing Administration to enter into an agreement with the Leamington Flyers Organization for the use of the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre for a three-year term.
  • Consider authorizing Administration to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Windsor to access and purchase firefighting foam.
  • Consider awarding the purchase of four 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500s in the amount of $213,284 (plus HST) to Finch Auto Group and the purchase of two 2026 Ford F250 in the amount of $120,098 (plus HST) to Woodstock Ford.
  • Consider a report recommending the appointment of Council members to the Municipal Grants Review Committee.
