Kingsville Town Council Brief from February 9, 2026 Meeting

At its February 9, 2026 meeting, Council:

  • Approved the severance of an existing dwelling at 930 County Road 18 (Road 4), and amended the zoning for both the severed and retained parcels
  • Confirmed that a public meeting was held regarding a proposed telecommunications tower on Inman Side Road and directed Administration to forward a copy of the concurrence letter to the applicant so they can further pursue their federal application
  • Approved the final acceptance and assumption of the roadway and infrastructure for the Timbercreek Estates Subdivision Phase 2
  • Approved the final acceptance and assumption of the roadway and infrastructure for the Ridge Sides Estates Subdivision in Cottam
  • Approved the closure of Jasperson Lane on July 1, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm for Canada Day events, as well as on September 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event
  • Approved road closures for two town events this year, Kingsville Block Party on July 18 and the proposed Busker Festival on September 11, at the following locations: King Street (from Chestnut Street to Division Street North), Chestnut Street (from King Street to Main Street) and Walnut Street (from Chestnut Street to the north exit of the library-adjacent municipal parking lot)
  • Directed Administration to request that County Council close County Road 34 West from Victoria Street to Country Road 27 in Cottam on June 20 to host the Block Party
