Jack Miner Stewardship, Learning and the Next Generation

Our first newsletter of the year offers a glance back at 2025, highlighting the projects, support, and shared efforts helping the Sanctuary take flight in 2026.

With support from Canada Summer Jobs and Young Canada Works, we hired 11 student staff members who supported everything from grounds and visitor services to guided programming and Jack Miner Learning Centre coordination.

Together, we delivered curriculum-based outdoor education programs to more than 1,800 local students, alongside drop-in, nature-based summer programming that invited learners of all ages to connect with the outdoors.

We were also fortunate to secure funding from TD Friends of the Environment and Enbridge Fueling Futures, helping to expand and enrich our education programs for the year ahead.
