The Municipality of Leamington advises residents that recycling collection will continue as usual in January, despite recycling dates not appearing in the 2025 Collection Calendar.
The January recycling schedule was omitted from the printed calendar because the transition to Circular Materials and single-stream recycling was still being finalized when the 2025 calendar went to print.
Residents are asked to continue setting out recycling on their regularly scheduled collection day:
- Rural areas: Every other Monday, beginning January 5, 2026
- Urban areas: Every other Tuesday, beginning January 6, 2026
As of January 2026, residents must use their new blue recycling cart for collection.

Residents who have not received their new recycling cart by December 31, 2025, must contact GFL to request delivery at 1-844-415-4351 or email WERecycling@gflenv.com
A new 2026 Collection Calendar will be delivered to residents before the end of January. In the meantime, residents can view collection schedules online at https://bit.ly/4qwfgEu or download the Recycle Coach app for reminders and updates.
