Leamington Council Considers – January 27, 2026

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Council will:

  • Consider a Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) Application at 352 County Road 31 to rezone the property to permit a Waste Transfer Station; including a recommendation from Administration to defer consideration of the application to the March 10, 2026, Council meeting.
  • Consider authorizing three markets to be branded as Mill Street Markets in 2026, integrating the themes of culture, history, agriculture, nature and a sense of place and hosting of the fourth Market at the new Waterfront Market Plaza.
  • Consider entering into an agreement with I.B. Storey Inc. to provide construction oversight for the refrigeration plant replacement at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre at the cost of $119,870 plus HST and awarding the tender to Black and McDonald Limited at a cost of $3,026,100 plus HST.
  • Consider extending the services of Ron Koudys Landscape Architects Inc.to complete the final design and construction project for Bayview Park in the amount of $181,155.
  • Consider a report to execute changes and improvements to the Talbot Street West and Queens Avenue intersection and parking configuration.
  • Consider authorizing additional funding to BT Engineering Inc., for completing additional geotechnical and excess soils investigation to fulfill the objectives of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, Detailed Design, Contract Administration and Site Inspection for Mersea Road 1.
  • Consider a report regarding the appointment of Drainage Commissioners for various pump serviced drainage schemes throughout the Municipality, and
  • Consider retaining the services of the Sun Parlour Players Community Theatre as the sole source provider for organizing and producing the 2026 Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series.
