
The Municipality of Leamington is pleased to announce the appointment of Tammie Ryall as its new Director of Strategic Initiatives and Municipal Design, effective February 2, 2026.
In this senior leadership role, Ryall will oversee Planning and Development Services, Organizational Excellence, and Communications and Corporate Identity, supporting the Municipality’s strategic priorities and long-term vision for growth, service excellence, and community-building.
Ryall brings extensive municipal leadership experience to Leamington. She most recently served as Director of Community Development at the Municipality of Lakeshore, where she was responsible for Planning, Building, and Economic Development.
Prior to that, she held a similar role with the City of Sarnia. Her career also includes planning roles with the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the County of Oxford, and the private sector.
“Tammie brings a strong combination of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and collaborative leadership,” said Peter Neufeld, Chief Administrative Officer for the Municipality of Leamington.

Tammie’s background will support thoughtful, well-managed growth while advancing key initiatives and delivering high-quality services to our community. Ryall is a proud graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Urban and Regional Planning and has been a Registered Professional Planner for more than 25 years. Her broad background and proven leadership will play an important role in advancing integrated planning, thoughtful municipal design, and innovative organizational practices across the Corporation.
