Smashes last year’s total in support of longstanding Christmas charity
Essex-Windsor EMS volunteers helped Windsor Goodfellows raise $20,928.30 last week, smashing last year’s total.
Hardy volunteers from EWEMS – Paramedics and staff alike – once again helped out Windsor’s time-honoured Christmas-time charitable cause, and at EWEMS’ usual intersection of Lauzon Parkway & Tecumseh Road.
Essex-Windsor EMS staff were there last Thursday, Friday and Saturday – along with Paramedicine students from St. Clair College and the LaSalle Vipers Junior hockey club, collecting cash donations from stopped drivers via the sale of the Goodfellows’ traditional Holiday newspaper.
The Goodfellows’ simple charitable mission is to help those that cannot help themselves.
