Carol Blake,
83 years, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Erie Shores Hospice. Reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Ron. Carol was fortunate to witness the boy next door move in when she was just 17 years old, and from that moment, she knew he was the man she would marry. Together, they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage until Ron’s passing in 2001.
Carol was a devoted mother of two, a proud grandmother of two and a cherished great-grandmother of two. Her overwhelming love for her family was always evident – she was forever ready to advise, teach and spend every moment she could with those she loved.
Carol’s kitchen was the heart of the family, serving as the gathering place for Sunday roast beef dinners and treasured holiday celebrations. She especially loved showing the kids how to bake and sharing all the fun crafts she could find with them.
Carol worked for more than 55 years, and everyone she encountered adored her. She had a genuine love of learning, an impeccable work ethic, and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Carol had many health challenges. The biggest one was her battle with breast cancer. She was a strong and determined woman who refused to let these health challenges take her down if she could help it. We will always look to her positive thinking and determination as inspiration to overcome the obstacles life presents.
Carol leaves behind her daughters, Kim (Andre) and Kelly; her granddaughter, Brooke (Damien); her grandson, Matthew; and her precious great-granddaughters, Myla Teskey-Gagne and Leah Teskey-Gagne. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Cuddles, Patches and Dukee who she loved dearly.
Special thank you to Dr. Chowdry, Dr. Nasser, Erie Shores Hospice Team, the nurses and PSW workers who provided her with care during her illness.
There will be a private family burial at Greenhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leamington Homeless Hub, Leamington Community Hope Centre (by etransfer to give@lchope.ca, or by cheque to Leamington Centre of Hope), your local Food Banks, or Erie Shores Hospice.
