The Town of Essex will be waiving all taxicab licensing fees for a 13-month trial period, from December 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026.

Taxicab owners and drivers can now apply for or renew their Town of Essex taxicab licences at no cost, while maintaining all existing safety and consumer protection standards.

The fee waiver aims to increase local transportation options for residents and visitors, and to make it easier for licensed taxicabs to operate safely and competitively in our community.
