Erie Shores HealthCare (ESHC) has launched a dedicated Paediatric Respiratory Clinic to provide timely assessment and care for children and youth with mild to moderate respiratory symptoms—such as cough, cold, fever, sore throat, wheezing, and asthma flare-ups—during the peak flu season.
The clinic will operate on Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m., starting Nov. 13, 2025. It will run until March 31, 2026.
Families can book an appointment online at erieshoreshealthcare.ca/respiratoryclinic or drop in without an appointment. ESHC is also accepting referrals through the Windsor-Essex Community Health Centre (weCHC) and through our emergency department.
“As flu season ramps up, parents need fast, family-centred options close to home,” said Rashoo Brar, Vice President, Clinical Services, Erie Shores HealthCare. “Our Paediatric Respiratory Clinic offers convenient Thursday evening access so kids with non-emergency respiratory symptoms can be assessed by a paediatrician, started on a treatment plan, and connected to follow-up care without a long wait.”
The clinic is staffed by a paediatrician and equipped to provide point-of-care assessments, initiate treatment plans, and coordinate follow-up with a child’s primary care provider when needed.
Families are encouraged to use the clinic for non-emergency respiratory concerns. If a child is experiencing severe breathing difficulty, bluish lips, extreme drowsiness, or other urgent symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.
