It is with heavy hearts, after a long and courageous fight, with her daughter at her side, that we announce the passing of Marie Shepley, on October 11, 2025, at Franklin Gardens at the age of 69 years. The adoring mother of Joni Lariviere, and grandma of Justin Michael.

She is reunited with her late parents, Arnold and Melvina Wood, her brother Rick Wood (late Shirley), and many aunts and uncles. She will be greatly missed by her many cousins, extended family members, friends, church family and the bus drivers from Transit Windsor, that she considered her second family.

Marie enjoyed playing bingo, riding the bus at Transit Windsor, and listening to her daughter play piano, guitar, and sing for her.

Thank you to Dr. Albert Ng, who cared for her for many years, Dr. Moncur, who took over her care, and to Franklin Gardens for the care and compassion shown during mom’s stay and her passing.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, from 9am to time of service at 10am, with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Pastor Mark Crosby officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made payable to Kendrick Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
