Nestled in the heart of Kingsville, WONDERfield Community School is a private, non-profit K-8 school creating something extraordinary; a place where children grow in mind, body, heart and soul – together.
With a commitment to small class sizes; a holistic learning environment and enriched academics founded on the philosophies of Charlotte Mason, WONDERfield is reimagining what education can be.
At WONDERfield, every student is known by name – and by heart. “Our intentionally small class sizes ensure that each child receives the attention they deserve in a collaborative and supportive environment,” says Head of School Jennifer Gagnon.
“Our name WONDERfield reflects our mission to awaken our students’ desire to know and experience the wonder of the wide-open fields of history, science, art, music, literature, Bible, geography, mathematics, languages and the literal fields of flora and fauna waiting to be explored.”
WONDERfield offers a vibrant curriculum that extends beyond the walls of our charming century schoolhouse and into the great outdoors.
We strive to build a collaborative and meaningful relationship with our broader community, fostering connection, support and shared growth.
Every Thursday afternoon, we embark on WONDERquests – from exploring local conservation areas, to visiting farms, museums, or local historic sites. These meaningful outings spark curiosity, deepen learning, and strengthen our sense of community.
Parents and students alike value the nurturing and inspiring atmosphere.
“WONDERfield is a school unlike any other. My son is always happy to go to school,” says parent Kyle Moynahan.
“The curriculum is unique and tailored to each student’s needs. I am so thankful that this education is available in Kingsville.”
“WONDERfield introduced me to subjects I never imagined I’d be interested in. It opened my mind to new ideas and ways of thinking,” says graduate Michael Gerenda.
In an increasingly fast-paced world, WONDERfield offers a rare and refreshing balance. Children are challenged but never overwhelmed.
They are introduced to rich literature and given opportunities to work with their hands through handicrafts.
Our students are supported and accepted for who they are and for the ideas they bring. There is both structure and the freedom to ponder, create, and simply be.
WONDERfield Community School is now enrolling for the 2025-2026 academic year.
