Music, Laughter, and Giving Back: Kingsville’s Music Trivia Palooza Strikes a Chord!
The Grovedale Arts & Culture Centre was alive with energy on Friday, October 24, as the Kingsville Music Society and the Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore hosted the first-ever Music Trivia Palooza.
Mark Arnold served as Master of Ceremonies, guiding 26 teams through the night’s trivia challenges while keeping the fun rolling.

Participants arrived decked out as their favourite bands and musicians, ready to sing, dance, and test their knowledge. With 11 categories, each featuring 8 to 10 questions and just 30 seconds of music or video playtime, teamwork was essential.
The energy in the room was electric as teams raced to recognize tunes and rack up points.

Sponsored by OG Pizza and Podium Audio Visual, the event raised funds for two organizations that make a meaningful difference in Kingsville.
The Kingsville Music Society supports local youth and schools through scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary music education, subsidized monthly lessons for individuals 25 and under, and essential supplies for elementary and high school music programs.

Michelle and John Law of the Music Society reflected on the evening:
“We couldn’t be happier with the turnout and response at the Music Trivia Palooza event last night. A packed house, high energy and great support for our local charities: Kingsville Music Society and Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore,” they said.
“Special thanks to all of the volunteers, OG Pizza for supplying the pizza and to Mark Arnold for bringing this great event to us in Kingsville.”
Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore continues its tradition of service through its Legacy Fund, supporting major community projects such as the recent sensory pad and picnic table play area.
The club also contributes globally, including through the fight to end polio.
In recognition of World Polio Day, the club hosted a Purple Pinkie Fundraiser, supporting Rotary International’s mission to completely eradicate polio worldwide, where vaccinated children have their pinkie dipped in purple dye — a simple yet powerful symbol of hope.

John Lintack, Committee Chair of the Rotary Club, shared his enthusiasm for the event.
“We’re absolutely thrilled by the response of our first-ever Music Trivia Night. The support from Kingsville community was incredible — we sold out, the energy in the room was amazing, and everyone had such a great time,” said Lintack.
“On behalf of Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore, thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, or donated. Your enthusiasm makes events like this possible and we're already looking forward to doing it all again next year on November 6th 2026.”

As the final notes faded and the laughter lingered, one thing was clear: this first annual event set the stage for many encore performances to come.
