The Town of Kingsville is excited to celebrate the official grand opening of its Sensory Pad at Lakeside Park this Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
“When we upgraded our playground equipment last year, we were left with open space where the old swing set used to be,” said Kingsville Mayor Dennis Rogers. “We knew we could do something unique and interesting there, and in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore, this fun, new addition to the park was born.”
The Pad consists of two accessible chess picnic tables and educational activity stencils that help promote physical, mental and social wellness.
“Since our Club’s inception in 2018, the Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore has been focused on helping build up our community through volunteering and fundraising,” said Heather LeBrun, President of the Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore. “And now it’s an honour for us to collaborate with our town on this legacy project, the Sensory Pad!”
Join the Town and Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore for the official ribbon cutting on Saturday and stay for Kingsville Express Train Rides, hot dogs (while supplies last), and a variety of games, like checkers, chess and cornhole toss.
We look forward to seeing you there!
