At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Council:
- Held a Court of Revision under the Drainage Act and confirmed the Schedule of Assessment in the Engineer’s report for a new access bridge over the South Dales Drain – 9th Concession Branch.
- Council confirmed the Schedule of Assessment in the Engineer’s report for two (2) new access bridges over the 10th Concession Road Drain East.
- Approved a Zoning By-law Amendment to remove the holding from the zoning of 305 Erie Street North, and rezone the affected lands from a Commercial Industrial Zone to a site-specific Commercial Industrial Zone, allowing the conversion of an existing building to be used as an On-Site Farm Worker Dwelling.
- Approved property tax adjustments for five (5) properties that have had houses, buildings, or other structures demolished.
- Approved the 2026 Fee Schedule for Municipal Services.
- Awarded the North East Trunk Sewer and Seacliff Drive reconstruction Phases 2 – 4 project to Sterling Ridge Infrastructure Inc., in the amount of $9,376,933.20 (plus applicable taxes).
- Approved an advertising agreement with the Leamington Flyers organization for the Highbury and Unico Arenas for a 3-year term for $25,000 (plus HST) per year.
- Awarded a contract for the demolition of the former Leamington District Secondary School to Salandria Ltd. in the amount of $822,777.00 (excluding HST). Council also authorized the tendering of the project to construct a chimney swift habitat.
- Adopted the Engineer’s Report for the Changes in Assessments to the Robert Anderson and Enns Drains for parcel 720-04500 pursuant to Section 65 (3 and 4) of the Drainage Act.
- Approved the revised Medical Tiered Response Agreement coordinated by the County of Essex through Essex–Windsor Emergency Medical Services.
- Appointed Mayor Hilda MacDonald as proxyholder for the Municipality of Leamington to cast its shareholder’s votes at Union Water Supply System’s Annual General Meeting. Council also appointed Councillor Paul Tiessen as the alternate proxyholder.
