Corliss Balkwill (December 11, 1949 – September 25, 2025)

Corliss Balkwill

It is with tremendous sadness we share the news of the sudden passing of Corliss Ann Balkwill. She was reunited finally, in her daughter Tina’s (1982) loving embrace on September 25 at the age of 75.

Survived by her loving husband Bill Balkwill of 56 years. Mother of Michael (Kimberley) Balkwill and Michelle Williams.

Cherished Grandmother to Colton Williams (Jasmin); Sydney and Noah Balkwill.

Predeceased by her parents Felix and Mary Pecaski.

Sister of: Shirley (Art) Charette; Ernie (Antoinette) Pecaski, Late Wally ( Georgina) Pecaski and late Patricia (Rick) Grant.

Special Sister-In-Law to Gail (Mal) Sedlak; Brenda Balkwill
(Roy); Late Gary (Dorothy) Balkwill and the late Carol Vincent.

Remembered by many nieces and nephews.
She will be especially missed by her closest friend Carol Moynahan and treasured buddies Bill and Connie.

Corliss was a generous, loving and kind person. She loved a good laugh and had a cheeky sense of humour.
She worked for many years as a Bar steward at the Kingsville Legion BR. 188. She often volunteered her time at the BR. 188 memorial luncheons.
She loved her family immensely ; all her flowers; bird watching and playing cards.
She loved the Christmas Holidays; her annual marathon gift shopping day and should have been a professional Christmas tree decorator. She always went above & way beyond to make sure her grandchildren received precisely what they wanted from their wish list.

She was eager to try her luck at the slots, especially in Vegas; she was a fantastic cook; enjoyed a good bus trip with her friends and always appreciated all her neighborhood friendships.
Her special talent and ability to attract hummingbirds was superior. May she lift our spirits with her presence through a visit of a hummingbird.
Of all these things, her ultimate favourite thing to do, was to sit in her rocking chair, in the back porch along side her husband who was also her best friend.

Anyone who knew Corliss, is well aware she did not like to be the center of attention. In honouring her wishes a private gravesite service will be held.

Our time here on earth is precious, we would be honoured to have just 5 minutes …. or more of your time as an expression of love or friendship.

Join our family for an Open House of light refreshments anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 pm on October 3rd at the Kingsville Legion BR 188.

In lieu of Flowers please make donations in Corliss’ honour to the Kingsville Legion Branch 188 (145 Division St S, Kingsville, ON N9Y 1P8).
