The John McGivney Children’s Centre (JMCC) is welcoming the Windsor Public Library’s fully accessible Bookmobile for a series of visits this summer and fall, bringing stories, resources, and the joy of reading to their Centre.
The Bookmobile will be at JMCC from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the following dates:
- Tuesday, July 16
- Tuesday, August 27
- Tuesday, October 8
Children, youth, families, and staff are invited to explore the wide selection of books and media, borrow materials, and enjoy a fun and inclusive library experience.
For those who do not have a library card, library staff will be on-site to help visitors register and answer any questions.
To get a library card, adults must bring identification that shows their name and address. For children, both the parent and child must be present, along with a document that includes the child’s name and birthdate (such as a birth certificate) and something that shows the parent’s address.
The Windsor Public Library Bookmobile is fully accessible and includes a lift, ensuring all members of the community can take part in this enriching experience.
“At JMCC, we are always looking for ways to support literacy, accessibility, and community connection,” said Jennifer Jovanovski CEO. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Windsor Public Library to bring these services directly to our Centre.”
Children under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver (13+), and no prior registration is required.
The Bookmobile will be located in the parking lot at the John McGivney Children’s Centre, 3945 Matchett Road, Windsor. All are welcome.
