It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colin John Ball, on July 18th, 2025. Colin was born in 1935 in Hayes, England and after graduating from Oxford University moved to Canada where he started his career in education.

He would later become a Professor of Education at the University of Windsor and completed his doctorate at the University of Michigan. He was an avid gardener, loved to travel and was fortunate to have experienced visiting many places in the world. In retirement he took up golf, played bocce, pickleball and wintered in Naples FL.

Colin is survived by his wife Joanne Ball, children Robin (Maria), Laura (Brent), Greg, and Anthony (Goska), and grandchildren Christopher, Andrew, Hannah, Colin, Aleksandra, Cael, and Colt. He will be dearly missed by many extended family members, friends and all who had the chance to know him.

Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home. As per Colin’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Colin’s memory may be made to The Erie Shores Hospice (197 Talbot St West, Suite 210, Leamington ON N8H 1N8).
