Margaret (Maggie) Lapoint

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Margaret, on Monday, March 24, 2025, with her family by her side at Erie Shores Healthcare. Loving wife of 66 years to the late Harold Lapoint. Dear mother to her five daughters; Karen Kennedy (Sandy), Peggy Coppola (Andy), Patti Gilmour (Brad), Aimee van Meurs (Eric) and Kim Everett (Jeff).

Proud Nana of Janine Turnbull (Tim), Carolyn Rickman and Brad Kennedy (Jamie); Jeremie (Jen), Simon (Michela), Jacob (Bobbi) and Paul Silvestre; Nick (Jackie), Mark (Claire) and Eric Gilmour (Sukhpreet Binning); Andrew (Bree) and Brayden van Meurs; and Adam Everett; and to 15 great-grandchildren.

Margaret will be remembered by her siblings Robert Sinclair (Diane) and Cathy van Bunderen (Gerry) and her two sisters-in-law, Doris Breault and Marlene Brown. She will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Margaret Sinclair.

Visitation for Margaret will be held at Kendrick Funeral Home (91 Division St. S., Kingsville) on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. Visiting continues Monday, March 31, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville.
