Edith Moody
Passed away peacefully, on October 23, 2024, at 86 years of age. Beloved wife of Wayne, (predeceased) of 52 years. Cherished mother of son, Rick Moody and wife, Cathy of Leamington, ON. Cherished mother of daughter, Sheri Moir and husband, Paul of Orangeville, ON.
Loving grandmother of Jason, James, and David and loving great-grandmother of Lakelyn, Alexa and Daisy. Dear sister of Sheila Fraser of Kingsville, ON. Edith will be missed by many relatives and friends.
Edith and Wayne began their lives together in Kingsville and also returned to retire in their hometown after raising their children in Goderich and Grand Bend, ON and after running a successful business they created, The Fisherman’s Cove and fishery, in Grand Bend, ON., Edith managed and operated the restaurant for many years, while Wayne operated the fishery and fishing boat.
Always together, in retirement, they enjoyed gardening, travelling and wintering in Bonita Beach, FL.
Edith’s memory, love of her family, strength and her determination will fondly be kept in the hearts of all who knew her. Her other hobbies included a passion for card playing and crocheting beautiful things for her family.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Kendrick Funeral Home (91 Division St. S., Kingsville) from 10 a.m, until the funeral service begins at 11 a.m., followed by a light luncheon.
