The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind the public that the Hogs for Hospice Motorcycle Rally is set to take place this weekend, drawing in thousands of visitors to Essex County. As a result, residents and visitors can expect increased traffic and possible delays on local roads from August 2-4, 2024.

The OPP is asking the motoring public to plan ahead and allow extra travel time. Exercise caution and be mindful of increased motorcycle traffic. Taking a little more time while making manoeuvres such as signaling turns, checking mirrors and blind spots is highly encouraged. These safe driving practices will help prevent unnecessary collisions and increase road safety for everyone.

There will be a heightened police presence throughout the event to ensure the safety to all of those in attendance. Officers will be on hand to assist with any traffic related issues, provide directions, and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Essex County OPP appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation during this event.
