Kingsville Community Food Bank Needs for April, 2024

We’re well on our way into spring even though it doesn’t much look like it yet. But the days are getting longer and that’s always a good thing. April showers are supposed to bring May flowers and all that. Is rain better than snow? Well, it’s warmer anyway. And then of course, there’s those flowers.

And so the world will be feeling renewed once again. Too bad that renewal doesn’t extend into everyone’s wallets and pantries. And the renewal of springtime doesn’t lessen the household needs like paying bills and buying groceries.

The Kingsville Community Food Bank will as ever be standing by to assist those in our community whose wallets and pantries need some help. We appreciate the dedication of the Food Bank volunteers, and we are thankful for those in our community who choose to give so generously.

Here’s a list of items that the Food Bank is looking for in April:

They also welcome gift cards for groceries, products for babies, pet supplies including dog and cat food, laundry and dish detergents, toilet paper, paper towels, and more. Cardboard boxes and cloth bags are always welcome.

If you can help, the Food Bank will appreciate it.

The Food Bank is located at 18 Division Street North in Kingsville across the street from RBC Bank. You can also use their drop-off bin inside Zehrs, shown in the picture below.

  1. Do you accept “expired” soup in cans? We have about 15 Campbell’s Tomato and a few Vegetable soups we “inherited”. Dates are 2021 and 2022 I think.
