The Town of Kingsville has launched a short-term rental survey on its citizen engagement portal HaveYourSayKingsville.ca to determine if there is community interest in regulating the short-term rental market. This survey has been open since January 29, 2024, and will close on May 8, 2024.

Short-term rentals are usually defined as all or part of a dwelling unit rented out for less than 28 consecutive days in exchange for payment. Including:

• Cottages
• Holiday homes
• Whole home rentals
• Room rentals
• Bed and breakfasts (B&Bs)
• Hotels and motels

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete the survey. Administration is preparing to bring survey results forward at an upcoming meeting. Residents or short-term rental owners interested in providing input on this topic should complete the survey before it closes on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
