Kingsville is seeking input from residents to inform the development of a new strategic plan and long-term community vision (Kingsville 2040). The Town has launched an online project page on our public engagement portal (HaveYourSayKingsville) to get feedback.
Kingsville Council is working with Administration and Consultants from Colliers Project Leaders to create the Plan, outlining actions the municipality will take to move the community forward during the remainder of Council’s term.
To participate, please take our survey and let us know about your experience in Kingsville and the things that matter most to you in the future.
Other work completed to date:
- Our consultants completed a careful review of Kingsville’s current context, past strategic plans, and other essential documents, an analysis of how the community and municipality have changed, and a series of interviews.
- Council met to review this work in early September 2023 and began identifying key areas of focus, vision, and mission. An initial public engagement exercise occurred in the summer of 2023 (“Imagine Kingsville”). Ideas submitted on this project page helped shape discussions with Council during this first workshop.
- We held a second Council workshop in early October 2023.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. Your input will help us ensure Kingsville is a healthy, sustainable, prosperous community.
Thirteen years ago we moved here from a major city. The reasons being the amount of housing, traffic, noise etc. Now, Kingsville is becoming the same as we moved away from.
We decided to move to a small town to get away from all of that.
Why try to turn a small town into a large City. It just doesn’t work.
There are many issues that require addressing in Kingsville so why are you not doing something about them?
You cannot talk about building housing developments before you figure out how it will impact the current area. At present the traffic situation is intolerable.
You need to seriously think clearly about how this big issue can be solved first.
Another major issue which has been ongoing for years now is the lack of lighting all along Seacliffe. Seacliffe is a major route from Kingsville into Leamington and at night it very very dark. When it
rains it’s even darker. Some sections have partially the white line marker but not all of it.
Why is Road 2 so lighted at night? Road 2 is not a major route.
I believe priorities are not being addressed in this town.
County road 20 is also a major route. Is it lighted? Gawd NO! Does it have the white line markings on the road edge, absolutely not. Why?
These are just a few of the important issues needing the attention of those of you who are responsible for the well being of our Town.
Thank you.
Dr. McNeill, I completely agree with your thoughts, I would suggest that Kingsville should put a freeze on any further development throughout the area until all the inverstructer is rectified
How can this town continue to grow without it’s own Police Force or a full time Fire Department.
The current level of OPP can not keep up with the current numbers let alone potentially more residents
While the current fire department maybe adequate with some full time employees and volunteers, this does not serve anyone long-term.
Kingsville is not prepared for an influx of new residents as it sits now.
I haven’t even mentioned the electricity or water issues.
In spite of the opinions of any Planning “expert” the traffic situation on Main St E. has become deplorable and I would suggest a permanent freeze on any further development with access to this area.
