The Town of Kingsville is excited to introduce a new art program called “the Kingsville Painter’s Guild.” The Painters Guild is an open-format, non-instructional program for professional and amateur artists. Paint and draw in a quiet group setting, concentrating on still-life, portrait and figurative subjects. Following the session, enjoy peer discussion and the opportunity to receive constructive feedback and mentoring.
The Kingsville Painters Guild is at the Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre, 108 Park Street, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on April 6, 13, 20, 27 and May 4, 2022.
“I am thrilled that award-winning artists, Layne and Elaine Van Loo, want to offer this to the community,” said Karen Loney, Manager of Recreation Programs and Special Events. “Artists who are just beginning or seasoned have a wonderful opportunity to receive support, encouragement, art education and practical practice with others who want to learn.”
The program is by donation, which compensates the model and costume rental. Artists must bring their own materials, supports and supplies. Pre-register through the Town of Kingsville’s recreation booking system, Kingsville Click & Play.
