It’s Teatime!

On Sunday, June 8 we hosted our second annual Ladies Community Tea at the Grovedale Arts and Cultural Center from 2-4pm. This is one of the ways we, at First Lutheran Church, reach out to serve our community.

Our 160 guests enjoyed sipping tea, meeting old friends, making new friends, and enjoying tea sandwiches and scrumptious desserts!

The afternoon began with a welcome, devotion, and prayer for our community.

This was followed by the hum of conversation, laughter, children giggling, and teacups clinking.

Our décor this year featured Alice in Wonderland themed centerpieces and games, complete with Flamingo Croquette, which was the delight of our youngest guests.

The children also enjoyed a variety of complimentary tea party crafts by The Crafty Nest.

Pop It Events supplied a huge, themed display for a wonderful photo opportunity.

Lisa, our decorator, provided an inviting Queen of Hearts photo booth for the perfect tea party memory.

Three lovely young ladies from the High School were the perfect tea hosts, keeping everyone’s cup filled to the brim.

All of us at First Lutheran are grateful for the opportunity to encourage people and build community.

We are thankful for all the guests who joined us for a spot of tea, for it is our guests who make the tea party a delightful event!
