Kingsville Tennis Association’s Junior Tennis League Participate At OFSAA

Three Erie Migration District School students, also members of the Kingsville Tennis Association’s Junior Tennis League, participated at the OFSAA Provincial Championships this week in Toronto. 

Megan Wuerch lost her first match in a tiebreaker 4-2,4-3 then lost a marathon match filled with long rallies to the 8 seed from Ajax.

Megan finished her season with silver medals at WECSSAA and SWOSSAA and finished inside the top 32 at OFSSAA in a very tough girls singles draw.

Mady Stanley and Quinn Miehl-Marentette lost a tough opening round match to Peterborough 4-3,4-3 in two tiebreak sets. They bounced back to beat Kingston 4-0,4-1.

On day 2, they won a battle with Mississauga 4-3,4-3 in tiebreaks, then came back from down 3-0 to upset the 5 seed from Port Hope 4-3,4-0.

Their tournament ended at the hands of a talented Toronto team 3-4, 4-2 (10-6) in a match tiebreaker.

The mixed doubles duo finished 4th at WECSSAA, 2nd at SWOSSAA and inside the top twelve out of 34 teams at OFSAA.
