Golfers and Sponsors Tee Up Big Results for Kingsville – More Than $18K Raised for Local Projects
Over 70 dedicated golfers teed off under the blazing sun last Monday for the 6th Annual Kingsville Southshore Rotary Charity Golf Tournament, and the results were nothing short of extraordinary.
Braving the heat, participants helped raise over $18,000, marking the highest total ever for this annual event.
“All I can say is wow! We had record heat, but we also set a new record for fundraising for our club and community!” Committee Chair Dave Jones shared.
“We couldn’t do it without our sponsors and golfers, thank you! BUT – I’d like to give a huge thank you to the team at Kingsville Golf and Country Club. They just know how to do it right. From management to the pro-shop, and the whole team in the dining room, we couldn’t ask for a better partner.”
What do these funds support?
The members of the Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore work on many projects directly, and also supports other charities in achieving their goals, both with elbow grease and funds raised – channelling our guiding motto:
“Service Above Self”
From the Club’s inception in 2018, they have been working hard to raise funds earmarked specifically to improve and add to our community, and these plans are now coming to fruition.
The Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore is spearheading two new community projects (soon to be announced) as well as partnering with our local schools to help ensure our kids have the equipment and resources to help enjoy extra curricular activities.
They also continue with their Annual Kingsville Clean-up, Annual scholarships, game days at senior residences, helping with a new water project in Mexico, and importantly – ramping up help with the Hope Centre in Leamington.
