Kingsville Council Brief from the May 26, 2025 Meeting

At its May 26, 2025 meeting, Council:

  • Approved the proposed street names for the Kings Village at the Lake Plan of Subdivision, as detailed in the report
  • Awarded the Road 2 West Watermain Tender to Major Construction (2010) Ltd.
  • Consented to the proposed fence construction at 90 Main Street East, a designated heritage property on the Town of Kingsville Heritage Register, as recommended by the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee
  • Approved up to $1,300,000 to facilitate the upsizing of the Ruthven Pump Station pumps and awarded the engineering and design to Dillon Consulting Inc.
  • Approved draft By-law 26-2025, in principle, and is requesting the Ontario Energy Board make an Order declaring assent of the municipal electors to draft By-law 26-2025, pursuant to Section 9(4) of the Municipal Franchises Act, 1990
  • Adopted the 2025 Final Tax Levy By-law and exempted any vacant lands which are prohibited from development due to Interim Control By-law 24-2025, shall be exempt from penalties and interest on outstanding property taxes, until the development restrictions associated with said Interim Control By-law are removed
  • Approved the purchase of one (1) 2026 International HV615 Tandem Axle Dump Truck/Snow Plow
  • Approved the closure of King Street to Chestnut Street (on the same footprint as the “Kingsville Block Party”) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 4, 2025, for the 2nd Annual Prince Adventure’s Exotic Car Show
