Kingsville Awards Community Volunteers on Appreciation Night

On May 1, 2025, the Town of Kingsville held an Oscar-themed Volunteer Appreciation Night to recognize 83 community members for their contributions and dedication over the past year.

Mayor Dennis Rogers opened the night with a speech thanking Kingsville volunteers, highlighting their impact, and later greeted volunteers and presented them with a Certificate of Volunteer Appreciation.

“On behalf of Town council, on behalf of administration, and on behalf of all of our residents, you are so important and integral to the success of our community, and from the bottom of my heart and theirs, thank you for everything that you do,” said Mayor Rogers.

Many municipal staff and Council members seized the opportunity to help with this event, from serving tables, to rolling up their sleeves to wash dishes, happy to demonstrate their support and appreciation for this dedicated group.

Kingsville volunteers contributed over 1000 hours this year, assisting with tasks such as planning, setting up, and running events—including Kingsville Block Party, Migration Festival and Fantasy of Lights—providing rides on the Kingsville Express Train for kids and families, talking with and guiding residents at events, and much more.

The Town of Kingsville would like to thank all our volunteers once again and encourage residents to consider getting involved. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain experience, and create memorable experiences for your fellow community members.

We’re always looking for volunteers for events and community initiatives throughout the year. If you’d like to learn more and get involved, visit kingsville.ca/volunteer.
