Gary Stanton
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Gary Stanton at the young age of 55 surrounded by his loving wife and children. Gary will be greatly missed by his Loving wife Billy Jo Stanton (Nee Schiller), his son Trent Stanton and daughter Tristen Stanton and his animals Rocky and Ron.
Cherished son of Betty and John Bickford and the late Norman Stanton. Missed by his siblings Martha Lena Stanton (George), Cory Stanton (Wendy), Jennifer Vincent (Scott) and his late brother Mark Stanton (Stefanie Stanton).
Remembered by his Mother-In-Law Wendy and the late Joseph Schiller, Sister-In-Laws Betty Jo Algra and Bobby Jo Schiller, and his Brother-in-Law JJ (Joe) Schiller as well as many nieces and nephews, all the staff at Stanton Construction and many dear friends who held a special place in his heart.
Gary battled a very aggressive type of brain cancer that had no cure since November 2022. Gary was so brave and strong every step of the way right to the end.
Gary absolutely loved his view of the lake, and his wishes were to stay home till the end and his family fulfilled his wishes in doing so. Gary was so brave and strong every step of the way right till end.
Gary was well known for his business Stanton Construction & Restoration that he and his wife built up on their own. He served his community for over 30 years, he always tried his best to go above and beyond for his customers. He was loving, caring, kind and always very generous with everyone he met.
Beyond his work, Gary embraced life with passion and joy. He loved adventures, snowmobiling, boating, and spending time with family and friends. His sense of fun was infectious, and his contagious laughter could light up any room. He had a rare ability to make others feel welcome, and his many friendships are a testament to the kind of man he was.
Gary’s life was full — full of love, laughter, hard work, and genuine connection. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege to know him.
We would like to thank the Nurses John & Shelly, along with all the PSW’s from Saint Elizabeth Health and the staff with Hospice you all were truly great through this difficult time.
