Spring is finally here (even if the weather doesn’t always agree!), and if you’re planning to refresh your space with flowers or gift a loved one, here’s a chance to do so while supporting a great cause.
SECC is partnering with Anna’s Home, Garden & Wellness throughout April to raise funds for our accessible transit vehicles, which provide essential rides for seniors, persons with disabilities, and migrant workers in our community.
Last year alone, SECC provided:
- 2,629 trips to medical appointments
- 2,093 bus rides for migrant workers to access English classes, healthcare, and essential services
Our vehicles travelled 117,779 km—the equivalent of nearly three trips around the world!
With all this mileage, our vehicles experience significant wear and tear, making maintenance and replacements critical. You can help—just by shopping for flowers!
How to Support:
Purchase hydrangeas, spring bulbs, pussy willows, pansy bowls, houseplants and more seasonal blooms—available in store and online at Anna’s Home, Garden & Wellness.
All the profits will go toward SECC’s transit services vehicle replacement fund.
