The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation of a shoplifting occurrence in the Town of Essex.

On April 5, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., an individual entered a business on Maidstone Avenue in the Town of Essex and proceeded to steal over $750.00 in clothing.

The person is described as a thin white male, approximately 6 feet tall with some facial hair wearing a plaid coat, dark pants and a dark ball cap.

Investigators are attempting to identify this individual.
