At the Leamington Council meeting of April 22, 2025, Council will:
- Hold a public meeting under the Drainage Act to consider:
- Adopting the report provided by Baird AE for a new access bridge over the Bailey Drain.
- Authorizing the project to be tendered and, should the submitted tenders fall within the engineer’s construction estimate of $23,410, or otherwise consented by the owner, that the Manager of Engineering be authorized to award the tender and enter into necessary agreements.
- Approving a By-law to provide a new access bridge over the Bailey Drain.
- Holding a Court of Revision and appointing Halliday Pearson, Baird AE, Janice Dougherty, and Shawn Stasko, Drainage Superintendents, as commissioners to superintend the drainage works.
- Advising the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) of the proposed drainage improvements.
- Hold a public meeting under the Planning Act to consider:
- A municipally initiated application to regulate the location of mechanical units and storage containers.
- Consider awarding the T03-Transit 25-01 Bus Procurement to Creative Carriage, in the amount of $645,015.13, excluding applicable taxes, for the purchase of a third bus for the LT-Go Transit System.
- Consider extending the Leamington to Windsor (LTW) transit services contract with Transit Windsor from April 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
- Consider authorizing the entering into a Shared Services Agreement with the Township of Pelee for Leamington By-law Enforcement to provide direct enforcement of regulatory by-laws, provide remote assistance with incoming by-law related complaints, investigate by-law related matters, issue parking infractions, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Consider accepting the designation of host municipality and collecting the Dedicated Gas Tax Funds for Public Transportation Program Funds on behalf of the Municipality of Leamington and the Town of Kingsville.
