Essex County OPP have charged an individual after a theft investigation in Kingsville.

On April 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a business on Dimar Drive in Kingsville for the report of a theft complaint.

As a result of the investigation an individual was identified and it was determined the accused was responsible for additional theft complaints in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

On April 9, 2025, members of the Essex County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) located a stolen pickup in Tecumseh and as a result a 36-year-old male resident of Tecumseh has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

• Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
• Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
• Theft under $5,000 (two counts)

The accused was held for bail.

Approximately $20,000 in stolen property was recovered, including a pickup truck that had previously been reported as stolen from the City of Windsor.
