Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island has announced the winners of the 10th Annual Best of Windsor Essex Awards as voted at bestofwindsoressex.ca.
Now in its 10th year, the Best Of Windsor Essex Award have honoured over 525 local businesses, attractions and events since its inception.
“We are excited to be able to announce the winners of the 10th Annual Best of Windsor Essex Awards – 10 years of celebrating the best things to see & do in our region as voted by locals” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. “Over the past 10 years we have seen over 110k users log on to bestofwindsoressex.ca and vote for their favourites. Those votes help us create our ‘Best Of’ list that we then share with visitors as they plan trips to our region. We know that when visitors come here, they look for local recommendations, and what better way to find them than through a curated list of 48 award winners.”
Voting for the awards took place over three weeks between February 10 and March 2, 2025 to allow locals to share their favourite spots in all 48 awards.
This year nearly 7k local residents voted to have their say in celebrating the best of the best!
Being the 10th year of the awards, Tourism Windsor Essex presented 7 additional awards to businesses that have won all 10 years in their award category. Three Kingsville businesses were among the winners:
- Cindy’s Home & Garden – Best Boutique Shop
- Colosanti’s Tropical Gardens – Best Family Friendly Attraction
- Kingsville Golf & Country Club – Best Golf Course
- Caesars Windsor – Best Hotel
- The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor – Best Live Music Venue
- Devonshire Mall – Best Mall
- Walkerville Brewery – Best Brewery Experience
“The number of votes for the Best of Windsor Essex Awards campaign showcases how important a local audience is to help our tourism and hospitality businesses thrive, but also how devoted their customers are to celebrate their success” said Orr. “In an industry that generates over $856 million in economic impact and employs almost 11.5k jobs, it’s important to engage locals and remind them of great things to see and do in their own backyard and also share with family and friends when they visit.”
Winners were announced during a live event on the Cosmo’s Lounge stage inside Caesars Windsor where winners and local dignitaries gathered.
Each winner received a commemorative plaque, a letter of congratulations and bragging rights. They will also be included in the 2025/2026 Official Visitor Guide to be released on April 25, and branding at bestofwindsoressex.ca.
