Possible Public Measles Exposure Notification — March 28, 2025

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit asks anyone, particularly those who are unvaccinated, pregnant, immunocompromised or have a child/children under 12 months of age, who visited any of the location(s) listed below on the identified date(s) to complete the risk assessment (below) for guidance on next steps.

Individuals can contact a healthcare provider to review their immunity status.

If you were exposed at the following site(s) and are unvaccinated, you are strongly recommended to attend the Measles Assessment Clinic at Erie Shores HealthCare (194 Talbot Street West, Leamington) by Sunday, March 30 for vaccination. The clinic is open daily from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

The clinic is located outside the hospital in a mobile unit for vaccination. These vaccinations can make the difference between mild or severe symptoms if your exposure has led to infection.
