The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary is grateful to receive a Government of Canada investment of $1000,000 through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario FedDev Ontario to elevate our bird banding program.

With this funding, we will offer new bird-banding workshops, overnight accommodations, and enhance our facilities.

Improvements to the Worker House are underway. Our capture net and hide are scheduled for Spring repair. A prefab workshop has been purchased and will be located close to the capture to aid with the processes of our banding projects.
