A traffic complaint has led to an individual being arrested and charged with impaired driving.
On January 31, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Essex Detachment were notified of a traffic complaint on County Road 20, Harrow.
Police subsequently located the vehicle and driver and a traffic stop was initiated on King Street West.
As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old male resident of Kingsville, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 14, 2025, in the City of Windsor to speak to the charges.
