At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Council:
- Approved a By-law to rezone the consolidated lands at 731 County Road 14 from an Agricultural Residential Zone and an Agricultural Hobby Farm Zone to Agricultural General.
- Adopted an engineer’s report regarding a new access bridge over the Big Creek Drain 8th Concession Branch, authorized the works to be tendered, and approved the scheduling of a Court of Revision. Council also approved a by-law to provide for a new access bridge over the Big Creek Drain.
- Approved a by-law to exempt Block 25, Plan 12M-690 (Bevel Line Village) from the provisions of Part Lot Control for the purpose of creating four individual single-attached dwellings.
- Directed Administration to issue the requested Letter of Concurrence, stating that Shared Tower Inc. has met the consultation requirements to the satisfaction of the Municipality for the installation of the 25 m wireless communications towers on the land known municipally as 175 Talbot Street East.
- Authorized entering into a data transfer agreement with His Majesty the King in Right of Canada and the University of Windsor to share data on wastewater surveillance samples collected at the Leamington Pollution Control Centre.
- Approved a by-law to impose fees and charges regarding Cemetery Weekend Levy.
- Approved the Leamington and District Half Century Club as a 2025 Community Partner and authorized funding for the Leamington and District Half Century Club in the amount of $24,000 for 2025.
