Hello again from Joan Murray Barton! I was born and raised in Kingsville. Now I’m a retired RN living in the bush here on the Bruce Peninsula. I’ve been here for the past 20 years and loving every minute.

And I love Cold Water Swimming!

I’m still swimming on the Bruce Peninsula … winter, spring, summer and fall! My husband Tony Barton took this picture of me floating among the ice pans.

2021 has been the best year of my life having found the knack for taking pictures, writing comical musings for family and close friends, that apparently have kept them amused all year.

On top of that discovering another talent for distance swimming leading into Cold Water Swimming. I’ve been busy, folks.

Please keep in mind you are never too old to learn something new about yourself! Who knew I could do all these things? I sure didn’t but here I am!

    Joan is a nursing classmate. We have been cheering her on since she started on this journey.
