At the Leamington Council meeting on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Council will:
- Hold a public meeting under the Planning Act to consider:
- Approving a By-law to rezone the consolidated lands at 731 County Road 14 from an Agricultural Residential Zone and an Agricultural Hobby Farm Zone to an Agricultural General.
- Hold a public meeting under the Drainage Act to consider:
- Adopting the report provided by Peralta Engineering for a new access bridge over the Big Creek Drain 8th Concession Branch.
- Authorizing the project to be tendered and should the said tenders be equal to, or less than, 133% of the engineer’s construction estimate of $25,440, or otherwise consented by the owner, that the Manager of Engineering be authorized to award the tender and enter into necessary agreements.
- Approving a By-law to provide for a new access bridge over the Big Creek Drain.
- Holding a Court of Revision and appointing Tony Peralta, Peralta Engineering, Shawn Stasko, and Janice Dougherty, Drainage Superintendents, as commissioners to superintend the drainage works.
- Advising the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) of the proposed improvements.
- Approving a By-law to exempt Block 25, Plan 12M-690 (Bevel Line Village) from the provisions of Part Lot Control for the purpose of creating 4 individual single-attached dwellings.
- Directing Administration to issue the requested Letter of Concurrence stating that Shared Tower Inc. has met the consultation requirements to the satisfaction of the Municipality for the installation of the 25 m wireless communications towers on the lands known municipally as 175 Talbot Street East.
- Authorizing entering into a data transfer agreement with His Majesty The King in Right of Canada and the University of Windsor to share data on wastewater surveillance samples collected at the Leamington Pollution Control Centre.
- Amending a By-law to impose fees and charges regarding the Cemetery Weekend Levy.
- Approving the Leamington and District Half Century Club as a 2025 Community Partner. Council will also consider authorizing funding for the Leamington and District Half Century Club in the amount of $24,000 for 2025.
