Christmas lights and decorations have been coming down since the Holiday Season has run its course. The nights are still long and now they seem darker as well. Days are still short and cold, as we are potentially looking at several months of snow and wintry weather.
Over the last month or so, money has gone out for many at a faster rate than usual, and now is the time that some folks must pay the piper. January can feel pretty bleak when resources are low.
The Kingsville Community Food Bank is kicking off 2025 doing what they always have done — bridging the gap when the wallet is too thin to fill the kitchen shelves. We appreciate the volunteers as well as our community members, as they continue to care for those in need.
Here’s a list of items that the Food Bank is looking for in January:
They also welcome gift cards for groceries, products for babies, pet supplies including dog and cat food, laundry and dish detergents, toilet paper, paper towels, and more. Cardboard boxes and cloth bags are always welcome. If you can help, the Food Bank thanks you for your generosity.
The Food Bank is located at 18 Division Street North in Kingsville across the street from RBC Bank. You can also use their drop-off bin inside Zehrs, shown in the picture below.
