Cecile Noel
Cecile Noel, formerly from Harrow, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years on January 1, 2025. Beloved wife of Roger Noel (2019) for 47 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Louise and George Renaud, her sisters, Marie-Ann Brennan (Edward), Mercedes Crosby (Jack), and her brother Joe Renaud (Dorothy). Survived by her brother Jean Louis Renaud (Madeleine). Aunt Cis will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Cecile joined the convent when she was 16 years old, and after 25 years as an Ursuline nun, met and fell in love with Roger. She left the convent and married Roger on July 29, 1972. They enjoyed travelling and taking cruises around the world.
Cecile taught for many years with the Essex County District School Board. She was an outstanding teacher who cared very deeply about the success and well being of each and every one of her students.
The family would like to thank AgeCare Royal Oak in Kingsville for the excellent care Cecile received in her final years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 at St John De Brebeuf Church in Kingsville, from 9am to the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
A reception will follow, and burial will be held at 1:15pm at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery in Windsor, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Cecile’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor-Essex (2135 Richmond St, Windsor, ON N8Y 0A1).
