Get to Know the Plan for Snow – Kingsville Prepares for Winter Control Operations
With winter around the corner, the Town of Kingsville reminds residents and business owners about the importance of keeping streets clear for our snow plows to pass safely. This includes removing portable items such as basketball nets, garbage cans, and portable signs and refraining from parking on the road during on-street parking bans.
In the past, all overnight on-street parking was prohibited from November 15 to April 15, whether the plows were out or not. In 2022, the Town amended By-Law 63-2022 to provide residents with greater parking flexibility during the winter months.
Now, the Town declares on-street parking bans only when needed to help facilitate snow removal and treatment of icy roads. Once declared, on-street parking is prohibited for 72 hours, and parking on the street during a ban carries a $35.00 fine. We will send notice of on-street parking bans through the Town’s website news portal and social media platforms.
If you need help finding alternative parking during an on-street parking ban, we invite you to consider one of our many free municipal parking lots.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our roads clear and safe for travel. To stay informed, please follow the Town’s Facebook and X accounts or subscribe to Town News to receive notices directly in your email. Get to Know the Plan for Snow to find out how Kingsville prioritizes snow removal.
