The first round of Pelee Peninsula Coastal Resilience workshops is complete.
Both the Wheatley and Kingsville sessions had good turnouts, and the presentations were well-received.
The question and answer period generated in-depth discussions on shoreline issues, concerns, and ideas on how to improve our shoreline resilience going forward.
Everyone was asked to complete a workshop survey, either on their cell phone by scanning a QR code or using the paper copies provided.
The workshop surveys are a way for everyone to get involved and input their issues, ideas, and suggestions on ways to help improve our shorelines.
Anyone interested in our Lake Erie shorelines and wetlands is encouraged to take the time to fill one out.
The survey is available to anyone at https://peleecoastal.ca under the Engagement tab or by clicking here: “Survey for Workshop Participants and other Interested Parties”.
All the presentation materials from the workshops will be available for everyone to see on the Pelee Coastal website.
For those of you who missed or were unable to attend the workshops, there will be a virtual workshop open to everyone held on November 28, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm.
You can register at the Pelee Coastal website above under the Engagement tab found at the bottom of the page or by clicking here: “Register for this Workshop”.
All the discussions and details gathered from the workshops and surveys are being compiled by the committee and will be used for in-depth discussions at the next round of workshops to be held early next year.
