The Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) is seeking eligible candidates to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees. The position will represent Wards 3, 4, and 10 in the city of Windsor. This is an exciting opportunity to serve in an integral role in the governance of local public schools.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a Canadian citizen
- Be a resident in the region of the Greater Essex County District School Board
- Be a designated public school (English) elector
- Not legally prohibited from voting; and
- Not be disqualified by legislation from holding the office of trustee

Interested candidates must submit the following documents:
- A completed Notice of Application form
- A resume
- A signed Declaration of Qualification for the office of trustee

Selection and Appointment Process
All qualified applicants will be publicly listed, and selected candidates will be invited to present to the Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will be sworn in at a Board meeting prior to February 16, 2024, and will serve until the end of the current term, November 14, 2026.
