The Town of Kingsville looks forward to the Migration Festival Parade this Saturday, October 19, 2024. Whether you’re attending or not, please note the parade time and planned road closures to prevent any travel delays that day.
The parade starts at 10:00 am. It leaves from the intersection of Wigle, turns west onto Main and south onto Division, ending at Mill. See a map of the parade route.
Wigle closes at 8:00 am to allow for staging and reopens at 10:15. Division (from Mill to Stewart) and Stewart (from Division to Queen) will remain closed during the parade and half an hour after the parade for destaging.
If you’re joining the fun, remember these tips to keep your family safe while having a great time:
- Parade spectators must always remain on the sidewalk; this keeps a safe distance between you and the parade floats
- Bring lawn chairs for a more comfortable experience
- Be considerate to fellow parade attendees
- Stay visible! Bright clothing is encouraged so you are easier to see
- Please ensure no one runs onto the street; parade participants will come directly to you to hand out candy
- Where you stand should never interfere with emergency exits or traffic flow; always stay behind the barricades and off the roads
- Our parade route is long! If it is too busy to remain on the sidewalk in one section, there is likely lots of space further down the road
Let’s have a great Migration Festival weekend!
